I have been a practicing emergency and anesthesia nurse at the MSPCA’s Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston since 2004 , and obtained my licensing as a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2009. Throughout my career, I have felt honored to help countless animals (and their families!) work through all imaginable forms of illness and injury. True healing starts at home, however. In 2014, I had the priviledge of being selected to join the New England Pet Hospice and Home Care network, and a new calling was realized. Being able to care for pets in their home environment, no matter what their health status, is such a blessing.

Once I got to college, however, my focus re-directed to travel and entertainment industry pursuits. I decided to move to Los Angeles in 2002, became quickly disenchanted with celebrities, and a light bulb went off. Veterinary nursing! I immediately found a program and applied. In the next random twist of fate, I auditioned for Hollywood Squares, made it on the show, and won enough money to fund my second round of post-secondary education in animal care. My destiny finally came to fruition – an extremely fulfilling career at the MSPCA, along with pet-sitting and dog-walking on the side, for fun.
I am so excited to bring my skill set to the wonderful and vibrant community of Cape Ann. It is clear that four-legged family members mesh intrinsically with the outdoorsy lifestyle of the North Shore. In my spare time, my favorite activities involve being outside with dogs in any form, hiking, enjoying beach time, running, kayaking, biking, or visiting a park. I was born and raised in Canada, but spent summers on Cape Cod with my grandparents. The New England coast has always been my spiritual home and I could not be more thrilled that it is now my permanent residence.
My own pets have included large dogs, small dogs, cats and rabbits, almost all of which were fostered or rescued.
I truly understand the love and attention that all animal family members require and I hope you will consider me when you need assistance caring for yours.
